4. Reflection

Overall, this assignment was fun. It was interesting to create these combinations and seeing their results in the end. The most difficult part was actually getting it onto blogger without the images being all scattered everywhere.

5. Favorite and Least Favorite

Cooking and Internet as well as Cooking and Economy were my favorite two designs. They were both fun and had a unique interaction together. Economy and Education as well as Economy and War are my least favorite designs. They had been rather boring to me and out of the sketches I produced they were the best I could come up with.

Combining Icons Grid

1. Project Goals

Step two project goals are to combine our six icons from step one together to create cohesive ideas. These combos should represent the combination category.

2. Process

When combining the icons together, I tried to figure out how to best place the objects together. For some this was easy. While sketching the ideas I did my best to avoid repeating the same positions of the icons, to keep each one individual.

Icon Creation

1. Project Goals

The goals of step one was to create six icons that represented the categories, Cooking, Education, Economy, Innovation, War, and Internet. We were only allowed to use black and white icons.

2. Design Stages

When it came to brainstorming, I went and thought of words that related to each category. Such as, whisk for Cooking and money for Economy. Thumbnails were all based on those words and the different ways to interpret them.
